Admission Procedure

According to Bar Council of India (BCI) Rules, a candidate opting for admission to the Five Year Course must have:
  1. Passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination securing in aggregate not below 45% of the total marks in case of general category applicants and 40% of the total marks in case of SC and ST applicants.
  2. Age of admission is limited to 20 (twenty) years in case of general category applicants and to 22 (twenty two) years in case of applicants from SC, ST and other Backward communities on 1st January of the year of admission.
The admission is based on the performance in the MH Common Entrance Test, Law Entrance exam conducted by the Maharashtra Higher Technical Education Department.

Total seats available for 1st Year of B.A.,LL.B (Five Year Law Course) is 60.
  • MH CET Law 2016 – Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State will conduct MH CET Law every year for admissions to five-year integrated law programmes in various law colleges of the state. Check the details of MH CET Law on the official website: http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in including important dates, eligibility criteria, application form, admit card, exam pattern, result and counselling.

  • MH CET Law Admission Process – DTE Maharashtra will be offering admissions to the undergraduate law programmes in every government law college of the state through MH CET Law. The admission process of MH CET Law begins with notification and invitation of application forms in the first week of April every year. There shall be a Common Entrance Test (CET) for Law programmes in the month of May, based on which a merit list shall be issued and counselling shall be held for admissions to the undergraduate LLB programmes.
  • Applicants need to select the Noorjahan Begum Salam Ahmad Women’s College of Law (College Code 493) at the time of filling the online application to appear in the MH CET Law Entrance Exam.
Admission must be taken by the student in person, by submitting the following documents:
  • Marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test (CET) Examination.
  • Original statement of marks with a certified copy
  • Original Caste Certificate by students intending to avail benefits of the below mentioned categories:
    1. Scheduled Caste
    2. Scheduled Tribes including those outside specific areas.
    3. De- notified Tribes
    4. Nomadic Tribes
    5. S.B.C.
    6. Other Backward Classes
  • Passing certificate and certified copy of document indicating the date of birth, for example, school leaving certificate
  • Two recent passport size photographs
  • Migration Certificate
  • At the time of admission, every student must undertake to attend at least 75% of the total number of lectures held in each semester.
